The Windrush 50p coins have been released by The Royal Mint as a tribute to the Windrush Generation, who travelled to the UK between 1948 and 1973. The Windrush Generation played a significant role in shaping Britain’s social, cultural, and economic landscape. The 75 Years of the Windrush 50p coin contains 8 Grams of 925 sterling silver minted to a proof finish. It comes in a beautiful Royal Mint box and is accompanied by an informative booklet which highlights the arrival of Windrush and what it represents to Britain in terms of migration, diversity, and national identity.

The first of two new 2023 Two Pound coins marks 100 years since the 4472 Flying Scotsman entered service.
